Though popularly known as "Toy Train," the trains on this route actually belong to Himalayan Railways, a branch of Indian Railways. Every aspect of their operation and maintenance, such as ticket reservations, is performed similar to that of any other train of the Indian Railways. Riding these Toy Trains is a real "JOY RIDE", as is also mentioned in the reservation tickets!!
By the way, the young European girl you see in the photo was our neighbor in the Toy Train!!
